There are been several books available in the market and stationeries which you can refer to clear your IAS exam. The task is not easy but if you try, you can achieve the seat in IAS easily. The eligibility criteria is any graduation from a recognized university. The minimum age is 21 years and maximum 33 years. Preliminary Exam Syllabus & Paper Pattern: There are two papers named as paper 1 and paper 2, the time duration is 2 hours for each paper. Each paper consists of 200 marks and 0.33 negative marks for the wrong answer attempted. In Paper 1 current events of national and international importance, history of India and national movement, Indian and world geography-physical, social, economic geography of India. The world, Indian Polity and governance constitution, political system, Panchayati Raj, public policy, rights issues, etc.
And in Paper 2, there is comprehension, interpersonal skills including communication skills, logical reasoning and analytical, ability, decision-making and problem-solving, general mental ability. Mains Exam Syllabus & Paper Pattern: It consists of general studies and 2 of the subjects, which the student has to select from the list of optional papers. These are some of the papers to get you the knowledge of that subjects after the dates and updated syllabus are announced. We will just update them, some of them are as follows: agriculture, animal husbandry, botany, chemistry, civil engineering, commerce and economics, electrical engineering, geography, geology. This is mainly from the subject, which the students have to choose from our graduation syllabus for the good. These are the most subjects, which the students have already studied earlier.
Final Interview for the IAS: If you have cleared the above examination, you are almost selected. A final interview will be conducted for 300 marks, normal questions will be asked during this in which your skills and your ability are checked.
